Speed is nothing without accuracy. Here’s the clean workflow to decode a signal, size from 1R, choose order type, and manage TP1→BE the same way every time.
1) Signal structure: what each line means

2) Order type: limit at zone vs market momentum
- Limit at zone: Use when signal entry is a level/zone. Size from worst-case in-zone. Confirm spread and news minutes.
- Market momentum: For planned breaks with follow-through in liquid windows. Expect some slippage; pre-fill ticket.
- Avoid minute-one: On Tier-1 events (CPI/NFP/FOMC), skip the first minute and look for reclaim/fade. See Economic Calendar Playbook.
Keep average costs ≤ 0.25R. Broker/account notes: Broker & Costs.
3) Management: TP tiers, SL→BE & trailing
- TP1 ≈ 1R: Scale 25–50% and move SL→BE once price closes beyond TP1 (or as per plan).
- TP2 ≈ 1.5–2R: Scale another 25–50% or trail under HL/LH.
- Runner optional: Leave 10–20% to ride trend days; trail behind structure.
- No improv: If invalidation tags, exit. Don’t “give it room” after the fact.

4) Clean execution workflow (checklist)
- Confirm pair & direction match your chart.
- Mark entry & invalidation on chart (zone > single line).
- Compute 1R: SL distance (pts) × $/pt. Size from your fixed % risk.
- Choose order type: limit at zone or market on break (planned).
- Check session & data minutes. If Tier-1, apply your avoid/min rules.
- Set TP1/TP2/TP3. Pre-plan SL→BE and trailing rule.
- Place order. No edits mid-trade unless rules demand it.
